SIFE is a global, non-profit organization founded in the United States of America and established in 1975 that is literally changing the world through highly dedicated student teams on more than 1800 university campuses in more than 40 countries. SIFE offers these students the opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills through learning, practicing and teaching the principles of free enterprise and how it works in the global economy, thereby improving the standard of living of millions in the process.

Guided by distinguished faculty advisor and supported by businesses around the globe, SIFE team teaches important concepts through educational outreach projects, including:

 Market economies

Entrepreneurs skills

 Personal and financial success skills

Business ethics.

SIFE Ho  Polytechnic team was therefore founded in March 2003 by a group of dedicated students led by Mr. Benjamin Borketey Bortie; an alumni of the Ho Polytechnic.

Since its inception, the team has chalked successes and contributed towards the development of the country and improving upon the living standards of the individuals in the communities in which we work.

In the year 2003, during the SIFE Annual National Project Competition, Sife Ho Polytechnic Team tied with the then (2002) National Champions SIFE University of Ghana Legon, which has never happened in the history of SIFE Ghana.

In the year 2004, we presented a couple of  projects which we placed second to SIFE Cape Coast University in the grand finale to the admiration of the judges who are successful people who have made it in the business world.

Situated at the far easten side of Ghana is the Volta Region with Ho as its administrative capital.

The region is endowed with notable tourist attractions such as the Wli Waterfalls,, Mountain Afadjato, Tafi Monkey Sanctuary, Keta Sea Defence just to mention a few.

The populace is primaryly made up of farmers, traders, fishermen and artisans.

It is in this region that Ho Polytechnic and its SIFE team is found.  The team, which is made up of 25 innovative, skillful and diligent members, a faculty advisor and a six member Business Advosory Board ( BAB), can best be described as pacesetters.

   PROBLEMS

By dint of hard work and dedication, the team has been able to overcome its numerous problems including, recruitment, timing etc with funding outstanding.
